Kaya is an original character from the "Aoki" book series by Turnsol Studios (available on Amazon). She is a female Shika, a race of deerling people that feature crests of horns on their heads that look like coral. They live in the Great Forest where all creatures are a hybrid of land and water, including the "jellyfly" on her shoulder, as the forest used to be the floor of an ocean. Kaya is gentle, kind, inquisitive, naive, and brave, but never afraid to show her emotions and shed tears when the forest and the ones she loves are threatened.
